Description: The festival offers a range of activities and entertainment that the whole family will enjoy. A host of national, local and regional musical acts will perform continuously throughout the weekend on several stages throughout the festival area. Oyster Festival attendees will have plenty of entertainment and activities to choose from over the weekend including the Nerveless Nocks Thrill ShowPaul Bunyan Lumberjack Show, a Kids’ Cove with rides, games and other child-centered live entertainment, a Craft Beer tent with more than 40 beers and the expansive Arts & Crafts Pavilion with more than 100 artisans and crafters. Description: This September, the annual Newport Secret Garden Tours opens its gates to a plethora of stunning gardens in historic Newport, Rhode Island. Join the Benefactors of the Arts on September 6-8 for this self-guided tour featuring at least 10 incredible gardens that are dotted On & Off Bellevue Avenue, the Drive and the Kay/Catherine neighborhoods. These private gardens are shared with the community to help raise funds for the Arts Education programs in the Island’s public schools. The tour runs daily, 10 am until 5 pm, and tickets are good for any or all days of the tour, allowing for inclement weather, schedule conflicts, or just a late start.

Event: Revolutionary War & Burning of Bedford Reenactment
Venue: Village Green – Bedford

Description: Step back in time as the Revolutionary War comes to life in Bedford. Enjoy Patriot and British cavalry demonstrations; an encampment; musket drills and colonial games and dances; blacksmithing demonstrations; lessons with the School Marm; and a grand finale Burning of Bedford re-enactment on the Green.
