Description: Outdoor family festival with more than 600,000 daffodils on display in the historic Hubbard Park. Description: We call it the Greatest Show (& Tell) on Earth. Maker Faire Westport is part science fair, part county fair, and part something entirely new! As a celebration of the Maker Movement, it’s a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity, and resourcefulness. Faire gathers together tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, food artisans, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, artists, students and commercial exhibitors. Makers come to show their creations and share their learnings.
Event: Newport Daffodil Days Festival
Venue: Downtown – Westerly

Description: In spectacular fashion, 20,000 rubber ducks are released at once off the Westerly-Pawcatuck Bridge for an amazing race down the Pawcatuck River. This community event is the largest charitable fundraiser in the two-state region.Over 40 local schools and non-profit organizations participate to raise money for their worthy causes. Duck games, face painting, food and other activities make it a wonderful family event. Downtown Westerly: Main Street & Mechanic Street. Admission is Free.

Venue: Roger Williams Park Botanical Center – Providence

Description: Since 2003, the Sarah Lawrence College Poetry Festival has presented emerging and established poets from across the country alongside current Sarah Lawrence undergraduate and graduate student readers. The weekend includes craft talks, panels, book signings, receptions, open mics, and more. Events take place on April 26, 27, and 28, and are free and open to the public.
