Venue: Story Teller’s Cottage – Simsbury

Description: Experience one of the most unique live magic show in Connecticut! Immerse yourself in Victorian splendor as expert magician David Reed-Brown performs fascinating sleight-of-hand tricks right before your eyes as you enjoy elegant hors d’oeuvres in the candlelit Jules Verne Library. Set in a vintage party atmosphere, this show allows guests to get up-close and personal with this talented magician, as he wanders among them while they eat and chat. Surrounded by vintage red and gold wall coverings, antique Victorian furnishings, and “smokey” low lighting, guests will feel transported to the Victorian era, the golden age of magic.

Description: Meet some of Audubon’s amazing birds of prey in person! Come to the Audubon Nature Center and Aquarium for a presentation on these fascinating birds while enjoying locally brewed beers. Then take a guided walk through the wildlife refuge at night to look and listen for owls and other signs of animal life. Leave the kids at home —this program is just for adults (21+)! Come prepared to go outside on a chilly winter evening.
