Event: 10th Annual Bridgeport Art Trail
Venue:  City Lights Gallery – Bridgeport
Date: November 9-11
Description: Tour artists’ studios, and arts venues. Enjoy receptions, live music, spoken word, demonstrations, dance classes, screenings. Mingle with creative community to “View art, talk art, experience art, buy art.” It’s a free, family-fun event. Friday:  Experience blocks of art and music on downtown Main Street and Fairfield Avenue. Don’t miss the live concert, Latin America-NA at the Bijou Theatre, located at 275 Fairfield Avenue. Saturday & Sunday: Discover Bridgeport art proliferating in repurposed warehouse spaces. Tour open studios, view a range of art forms, styles at:  American Fabric Arts Building, NEST Arts Factory, 305 Knowlton St. The Bridgeport Innovation Center, Read’s ArtSpace, City Lights Gallery Gallery, Blends and more. Over 150 artists participate. Sunday night: Storytelling and Closing Party at the Bijou Theatre. Gather with the Art Trail crowd and enjoy an evening of storytelling done in the PechaKucha-style, bringing people together from diverse backgrounds to listen to great personal stories and learn from each other in a casual and authentic atmosphere. PechaKucha means “chit-chat” in Japanese. Speakers present their stories accompanied by 20 slides, shown for 20 seconds each, resulting in a total time of 6 minutes and 40 seconds. This licensed format keeps presentations focused and fast-paced, Bridgeport Art Trail presenters.

Venue:  Staples High School – West Hartford
Date: November 10-11
Description: New England artisans will be offering an enticing array of handcrafted wares. Shop directly with the makers for gifts and treasures. Stop outside to visit the live alpacas of Round Hill Farm. The cafe offers acclaimed homemade soups, sandwiches and baked goods. Live acoustic musicians round out the festivities.

Rhode Island

Event: 3rd Annual Liberty & Libations
Venue: Sons of Liberty Beer & Spirits Co. – South Kingstown
Date: November 9
Description: Join us in the tasting room as we honor the Veterans who have served our great country. A portion of the night’s proceeds will be donated to Operation Stand Down Rhode Island. We are blessed to follow our passion and wouldn’t be able to without those who have fought for our freedom. As a small thank you to our Veterans, anyone with a military ID will receive their first beer or cocktail on us. Rhode Island’s own country singer Mickey Lamantia will be performing some of your favorite outlaw country songs as well as originals. Show up hungry – Tilly’s Cheesesteaks will be serving inside the tasting room.
