Event: Norwalk Oyster Festival
Venue:  Veteran’s Memorial Park – Norwalk
Date: September 7-9
Description: The festival offers a range of activities and entertainment that the whole family will enjoy. A host of national, local and regional musical acts will perform continuously throughout the weekend on several stages throughout the festival area. Oyster Festival attendees will have plenty of entertainment and activities to choose from over the weekend including the Nerveless Nocks Thrill ShowPaul Bunyan Lumberjack Show, a Kids’ Cove with rides, games and other child-centered live entertainment, a Craft Beer tent with more than 40 beers and the expansive Arts & Crafts Pavilion with more than 100 artisans and crafters. Plus, an international food court, oyster slurping contest, and much more.  Sunday is Family Day with special family and children’s packages for entrance, rides and meals.

Event: Friends of Felines & Just Cats Adoption Event
Venue:  The Just Cats Store – Stamford

Description: Please stop by to see some great cats looking for a loving home. We will be featuring: Kittens & Cats for adoption, Piñata (containing candy) for kids. Complementary hot dogs and hamburgers 12:00pm to 2:00pm Dr. Bolotin will be cooking and available to answer questions. Friends of Felines baked goods and pottery for sale. All proceeds benefit Friends of Felines (a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization run solely by volunteers). If you’re considering adopting a kitten or cat, you may be pre-qualified by filling out an application at www.fofct.org

Event: Cranston Greek Festival
Venue: Annunciation Church – Cranston

Description: For more than two generations, the Cranston Greek Festival has been held the on the church grounds, the weekend after Labor Day. The Festival marks the “Official End of Summer in Rhode Island™”. More than 25,000 people will visit the Cranston Greek Festival over the course of this fabulous three day event of Food, Fun, Greek Dancing and Culture. The Festival is held under the “Big Tents”, rain or shine.

Event:  Glow in the Park at Boundless Adventures
Venue: Boundless Adventures – Purchase

Description: Bring the family to Boundless Adventures to climb in glow attire.  We will provide glow necklaces, face paint, and more.  This event is a great way to experience the park lit up by lights in the trees at a special rate of $39 for a two hour climb.  Reserve to climb between 6pm and 11pm.
