Event: 34th Annual Planville Hot Air Ballon Festival
Venue:  Norton Park – Planville
Date: August 24-26
Description: Presented by the town’s fire department and considered to be one of the biggest and last remaining balloon festival in the northeast. Friday events:
– Food booths and craft show, 5 p.m.-10 p.m.
– Nashville Drive performs at 6 p.m.
– Balloon Glow, 7 p.m.
– Fireworks, 9:30 p.m.

Saturday:
– Balloon launch, 6 a.m. & 6 p.m.
– Food booths, craft show, live entertainment, car show.

Sunday:

Rhode Island

Event: LLBean Shore Tour at Fort Adams
Venue: 90 Fort Adams Drive – Newport
Date: August 24-26
Description: The L.L.Bean Shore Tour is coming to Fort Adams State Park in Newport, RI!

This tour features the Bootmobile as well as our Outdoor Discovery Programs. Kayaking and paddleboarding equipment will be available for rental, and our instructors will be providing classes.

Stop by to check out the on-the-water experiences, as well as games, giveaways and prizes!

The L.L.Bean Outdoor Discovery Program will be located on the beach near the South Dry Sail lot. The paddlesports rentals and classes are $15 and will run from 10:00 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. each day. In partnership with Fort Adam State Park, we’ll also be offering FREE paddling to kids under 18 on Friday, August 24th.

There will also be a special 3 hour guided Sunset Kayak Tour from 6:00pm – 9:00pm on Friday and Saturday only – the cost is $59.
