Fine art media include oil, acrylic, pastel, mixed-media, glass, drawing, etching, sculpture (metal, clay, wood, etc.), photography, modern ink and fiber. Wickford is a “walking-friendly” village that makes it easy for families, the elderly and handicapped persons to enjoy the festival.
Event: Music at the Farm: Folk Meets the Classics

Description: Grace Note Farm along with the Burrillville Land Trust presents a new concert series, Music at the Farm, the second Sunday of each month. Concerts will feature a variety of music styles from classical chamber music to folk and jazz. Artistic director, host and flutist Virginia Sindelar, a graduate of Juilliard has invited talented internationally recognized artists and developed a program of music from around the world for this series of concerts. Music at the Farm on July 8 at 2 PM will feature music for flute and guitar; each composer uses folk music or poetry for his melodies and style: Robert Beaser’s Mountain Songs (Appalachia), Astor Piazzolla’s Histoire d’ Tango (Argentina); and Manuel DeFalla’s Siete Canciones Populares Espangola (Spain). The artists are Virginia Sindelar, flute, and Peter Clemente, guitar.
Event: Garden Tours of Untermyer Gardens
Venue: Untermyer Gardens – Yonkers

Description: Untermyer Park and Gardens is located in Yonkers with breathtaking views of the Hudson River and Palisades. It was world famous in the early 20th century and was known as “America’s Most Spectacular Garden” under the ownership of Samuel Untermyer. William Welles Bosworth, the architect who designed Kykuit for John D. Rockefeller designed an elaborate series of garden spaces up, down and across the hillside, drawing on artistic, cultural, mythological and religious traditions from ancient times forward, with dramatic and colorful plantings and both ancient and contemporary architecture and statuary. There are 90 minute guided tours every Sunday from late April through October. July 1 is horticulture oriented, July 8 is history oriented, July 15 is the premium President’s tour, July 22 and July 29 are history oriented. All tours start at 11 am. Reservations are not needed. All tours are appropriate for all audiences. Bring water and wear sturdy closed toe shoes.Meet behind the Community Center near the small parking lot.
