Rhode Island

Here’s a list of firework displays taking place in Rhode Island courtesy of ABC 6 News in RI.

Bristol’s show will take place on July 3, 2018 at 9:30 P.M

Cumberland firework display will be held at Tucker Field on July 3 at 9:00 P.M., with a rain date of July 5 at 9:00 P.M.

East Providence fireworks will be taking place at Pierce Memorial Stadium on July 3 at 9:00 P.M.  with a rain date of July 5 at the same time.

Jamestown will be having fireworks at East Ferry Beach on July 4 at 9:00 P.M.

Narragansett’s fireworks will be held at Narragansett Town Beach on July 4th from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the North Beach Clubhouse. The rain date is July 5.

Newport’s firework display will take place at the Newport Harbor on July 4 at 9:15 P.M. In the event of rain, the display will be moved to July 5 at the same time.

North Kingstown’s fireworks will be held at Town Beach on July 3 at 7:00 P.M. The rain date for this location will be on July 6 at 7:00 P.M.

North Providence fireworks display will be held at Governor State Park on July 3rd from 6:00-9:00 p.m. with a rain date of July 6 at 9:00 P.M.

Pawtucket fireworks will begin at 6:15 P.M. after the PawSox game on July 2 and after the PawSox game on July 3.

Escobar’s Farm, located in Portsmouth, will be having fireworks on July 3 at 9:15 P.M. The rain date is July 5 at 9:15 P.M.

Providence will be having a firework display at India Neck Point on July 4 at 7:00 P.M.

Hope Fire Station in Scituate will set their fireworks off on July 3 at 9:00 P.M.

South Kingstown’s firework show will be held at Old Mountain Field on July 4 at 9:00 P.M. The rain date for this location will be held on July 5 also at 9:00 P.M.

Watch the spectacular Warwick fireworks at Oakland Beach Seawall on July 3 at 9 P.M. with a rain date of July 5th at the same time.

Westerly will be having their firework display at Misquamicut State Beach on July 5 at 9:00 P.M. Join them on July 6 in the event of rain.

Barry memorial Field, located in Woonsocket, fireworks display will be on July 4 at 9:00 P.M.

Tuesday, July 3

  • Ossining
    Ossing Fireworks – Join the town of Ossining on Tuesday, July 3 for their fireworks event at the Louis Engel Waterfront Park. Start your Fourth of July holiday with live music and fireworks. Picnics are welcome while you watch the multiple bands perform (starting at 7:30 p.m.).   • Valhalla
    Kensico Dam Music Fest and Fireworks – Enjoy a picnic at the park with pre-concert entertainment beginning at 6pm. The band performance will commence at 8pm, followed by fireworks around 9:15pm. Fireworks will be in front of the dam. Parking and admission are FREE, but carpooling strongly suggested as it does get a bit crowded in the lot.  You’ll get the most out of the concert and light show if you bring lawn chairs and blankets (in addition to your favorite food). The Kensico Dam Plaza is located at the north end of the Bronx River Parkway in Valhalla.   • Rye
    Rye Playland – At Rye Playland, you can enjoy rides during the day and fireworks at night. July 3rd and July 4th, 9:15pm. The park will be staying open later until midnight on these dates.  And, you can find fireworks each Friday night from July 6th until the August 31st. Fireworks are FREE (But, there may be a fee for parking and of course there are admission fees for the rides). 1 Playland Parkway, Rye, NY. 914-813-7010. This event will take place on both July 3rd and July 4th.
  • Harrison
    Harrison Shopping Center – Enjoy the concert which starts at 8:00 and the fireworks at 9:15.  Enjoy the music from Tracy Delucia Band. This is a FREE event.  Corner of Oakland and Halstead Ave, Harrison, NY 10528. Rain date:  July 6th (Thursday)
  • White Plains
    White Plains Independence Day Celebration – Grab some family and friends and head to White Plains for a fun filled evening of entertainment. On Tuesday, July 3 from 6 to 9:30 p.m., you can join in on all the festivities. Anyone in attendance can enjoy giant inflatable rides, food, and fireworks, to celebrate the Fourth of July.   • Yonkers
    Fireworks & Concert Celebration – Celebrate Independence Day at the Cross County Shopping Center on Tuesday, July 3. The FDR Drive Band will perform a concert from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. with a spectacular fireworks show to follow. Bring you friends, family, blankets, and chairs to The Green at the center of the mall to watch the concert. The fireworks display will be in the north parking lot, but you will be able to view them from anywhere in the mall. This event is completely free to the public too! Wednesday, July 4

  • Rye
    Rye Playland – At Rye Playland, you can enjoy rides during the day and fireworks at night. July 3rd and July 4th, 9:15pm.   • Katonah
    July 4th Independence Day Fair – Join John Jay Homestead and the Rotary Club of Bedford-Armonk bring you a  spirited reading of The Declaration of Independence.  Enjoy live music, food, crafts, games, house tours, and plenty of other fun activities on the grounds of John Jay Homestead. Free admission to the grounds; there are some fees for some activities and for food and drink, of course.  400 Jay Street, Katonah, NY 10536.  914-232-5651.
  • Katonah
    Pops, Patriots and Fireworks – Celebrate the Fourth of July a little early at the Caramoor Wednesday, July 4 at 8 p.m. (Concert rain or shine, fireworks rain date July 5.) The event will feature the Westchester Symphonic Winds performing classic songs from the Great American Songbook. The night will end with a bang with fireworks in the sky, as Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture swells. Tickets start at $30.   • Peekskill
    Peekskill Concert and Fireworks – The concert starts at 7pm in Riverfront Green Park and features Billy and the Snowmen. It’s R&B Revue that’s sponsored by Walmart.  Fireworks over the Hudson start at 9:15.  Please note that there is no rain location, so let’s hope for amazing weather.
  • Sleepy Hollow
    Sleepy Hollow Fireworks – 8:30- 9:15pm with Fireworks scheduled for dusk..Fireworks can be seen from Beekman Ave, Kingsland Point Park, Horan’s Landing Park, DeVries Park and Barnhart Park.
  • Tarrytown
    Tarrytown Fireworks – The Tarrytown Recreation Department will be hosting its annual fireworks display in Pierson Park, preceded by a concert by Kick-Start Charlie, which starts at 7pm. Fireworks at dusk (around 9 or 9:15).  This event is free.
  • Port Chester
    Port Chester/Rye Brook Fireworks – This will the 70th annual celebration with fireworks.  It will be at the Port Chester high school starting at 7:30pm and is brought to us by Neri’s Bakery products.  It will be at Ryan Stadium, 1 Tamarack Rd, Port Chester NY 10573.
  • Mammaroneck
    Village of Mamaroneck Fire Department’s Carnival & Summer Nights on the Sound – Join the Mamaroneck Fire Department for their carnival Friday, June 29 through Saturday, July 7. The carnival opens at 6:45 p.m. at Harbor Island Park in Mamaroneck. The carnival will open early at 4 p.m. on July 4, leading up to a fireworks display will take place over the Long Island Sound at dusk. This also kicks off Mamaroneck’s Summer Nights on the Sound” concert series, which has three more follow-up dates through the end of the month. The fire department will additionally hold their Independence Day parade on Monday, July 2 at 7 p.m. from Mamaroneck Avenue School to Harbor Island Park. Harbor Island Park 123 Mamaroneck Ave., Mamaroneck ​914-777-7784
  • New Rochelle
    Spark the Sound – Cap off your holiday evening with the grand fireworks display at the New Rochelle waterfront. This is brought to you from the New Rochelle Parks and Recreation.  Produced and sponsored by the famous Grucci family, the City of New Rochelle’s annual “Spark the Sound” extravaganza starts at 9:30 pm, rain or shine (let’s hope for the best). The best viewing locations are Hudson Park, Five Islands Park, and waterfront restaurants.  This is the 46th annual extravaganza.
  • Irvington
    Mattheisen Park Fireworks – The park is only open for residents of Irvington only, but you are nearby, you still may be able to get a good view.  They are set to start around 9pm or as soon as it’s dark enough.  Please note that parking is rather limited and they are encouraging carpooling.  Plan to park at the Metro-North parking lot or up the hill at the Main Street school. Please note that open fires and BBQ pits are not allowed (for safety reasons).  Also, the Mayor is encouraging residents to support the local restaurants (shop local!).
  • Scarsdale
    Scarsdale Carnival Fireworks – Pack up the family and head over to the Pool Complex for a July 4th celebration. Enjoy a day full of Picnicking, Carnival attractions, music and aquatic activities.  311 Mamaroneck Road, Scarsdale NY 10583.
  • Larchmont
    Please note that there will NOT be fireworks at this event, but you can see the fireworks from neighboring locations while listening to the Dixie Dandies.  The music starts at 7pm.  Manor Park and Beach, 99 Park Ave. Also, the Larchmont Recreation Committee is sponsoring relay races for children and adults Wednesday, July 4. The event will also provide sprinklers and refreshments for participants to cool down after the races. The event will start around 10 a.m. Flint Park Locust Ave, Larchmont 914-834-6230

    July 4th Fireworks Cruises – Please note that I am in the process of adding and updating this section.  Many of these cruises depart from NYC and if you plan on doing a cruise, plan ahead as you need to purchase tickets and many places will get sold out.
