Event: Travlers Championship

Description: For one week, the golf world turns its attention to the Travelers Championship, a world-class golf experience and family-friendly event. It is one of PGA Tour’s most well-attended events. The 2017 Travelers Championship was honored by the PGA Tour, winning the prestigious “Tournament of the Year” award. Also won for the “Most Fan-Friendly Event,” “Best Sales,” and the inaugural “Players Choice.” The rock band Survivor will headline the Liberty Bank Concert Series at this year’s tournament and will perform Friday night. Tyler Farr will take the stage Saturday night. Both concerts being at 7 p.m. (after the last golfer finishes his rounds).

Venue: Downtown Galleries, starting at Ferguson Library – Stamford

Description: Created by Stamford Downtown, a phenomenal experience awaits ARTWALK patrons. The evening features more than 100 painters, photographers, sculptors, and multi-media artists, all reflecting a diverse selection of mediums, styles, and trends in the contemporary art world. Majority of the artwork will be available for purchase. The public is invited to come meet the participating artists while enjoying live music and activities along the ARTWALK route.

Description: Enjoy a parade, favorite fair food, midway games and rides for all ages at this 99th annual family-friendly event while showing support for Yorktown Heights’ Volunteer Fire Department. Carnival admission is free. Unlimited ride wristbands (for riders 36 inches or taller) are $25 Wednesday – Thursday and $30 Friday – Sunday. Ride tickets are $1.50 each, $25 for 20 tickets, or $50 for 50 tickets plus 1 free ride. Rides take 2 or more tickets each.
