Connecticut

Event: 6th Halloween Festival
Venue:  Southington Drive-In – Southington
Date: October 28th
Description: The afternoon consists of hauntingly awesome family activities followed by a double feature on the big screen. For one carload admission price, festival-goers will be treated to haunted hayrides, pony rides, touch-a-truck, trunk or treating, apple launching, pumpkin bowling, pumpkin painting, face painting and apple pie-eating contests. Once the sun sets, we’ll be showing Disney’s Hocus Pocus followed by the classic chiller, Halloween.

Event: 3rd Annual Spooktacular Chili Challenge
Venue: Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center – Simbsbury
Date: October 28th
Description: Bring the entire family to the Spooktacular Chili Challenge presented by Simsbury Chamber of Commerce. Activities include trick-or-treating and touch-a-truck for the kids; beer, wine and live entertainment for the adults; and a costume contest and, of course, lots of chili tasting for all. You won’t want to miss the restaurant competition from 2 p.m.-5 p.m.  New this year, the Youth Division for cooks aged 17 and younger. Additional food options will be available for non-chili eaters.

Venue: Blithewold Mansion – Bristol

Event: Boo Walk
Venue: Muscoot Farm – Katonah

Description: Put on your Halloween costume and head to Muscoot Farm, Sunday at 1 p.m., for a Halloween scavenger hunt! This is a non-scary, kid-friendly, Halloween-themed scavenger hunt! Please come in costume and explore our wooded trail decorated for the fall season! Visitors can arrive any time between 1:00 and 3:00. Free admission.
