Description: The Pumpkin Festival takes the very best traditions of the autumn season and offers them all for free. Activities include the Pumpklin Carving Party (9 a.m.-noon). There will be pumpkins to carve and you can satisfy your sweet tooth with cookie decorating. Starting at 5 p.m., Halloween inspired face painting by Bohemian Body Art. Enjoy a not-so-scary horse drawn hay ride. Rides will leave from the Village Green from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. Don’t miss the Haunted Wonderland at the Ivoryton Library, from 5 p.m.-7 p.m., also from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. enjoy the antics of Casper the Friendly ghost.

Event: Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular
Venue: Roger Williams Park Zoo – Providence
Date: October 5th – November 5th
Description: A breathtaking display of thousands of illuminated jack-o-lanterns carved into veritable works of art. This year we will travel through time and visit with dinosaurs, explore the ice age, and peek into the ancient civilizations of Egypt and Rome. As guests wander the Wetlands trail they will delight in the history of the Middle Ages, discover the New World, and be fascinated by major inventions like cars, planes, space travel, and the computer. Infused throughout will be the art and music associated with each era. Imagine the history of us all on over 5000 intricately carved pumpkins.
Event: Fall Restaurant Week
Venue: Amos Greene Farm – Charlestown
Date: October 22nd
Description: The Charlestown Historical Society will present a Revolutionary War Encampment at the historic Amos Greene Farm in Charlestown. The encampment will be portrayed by the 2nd RI Regiment, British, 54th of Foot, and the French. The day will include skirmishes, a reading of the Declaration of Independence, an historical cemetery visit and daily camp life exhibitions. Also performing will be the Cape Cod Blue Jackets Fife & Drum Corp. Historically-related vendors and crafts exhibitions. Parking will be at the Charlestown Elementary School, 363 Carolina Back Road Rt. 112, and there will be a shuttle bus to take visitors to the farm site. A donation of $5.00 for adults 14 years and over is suggested. No pets.
Event: Pumpkin Patch & Fall Festival
Venue: Bedford Historical Hall – Katonah
Date: October 20th-22nd
Description: Chappaqua’s St. Mary’s Church, the purveyors of the great Strawberry Festival held each June, take a stab at Autumn with “the most scrumptious apple pie,” hay rides, games, pumpkin decorating and a pumpkin patch where you can buy everyone’s favorite seasonal squash plant. This evening is the Kids’ Kick-Off with popcorn-popping, caramel ball-making, and decorating–followed by S’mores at the fire pit. Come for a fun day of tractor rides, fire truck, obstacle course, games, pumpkin decorating, harvest scene photo ops, pumpkin sales (till 5 PM), pie table, bake sale, and refreshments!
Event: Riverlovers Potluck Dinner and Movie
Venue: Pound Ridge Town Park – Pound Ridge

Description: Pot luck supper followed by a movie: “Rare: Creatures of the Photo Ark.” Riverlovers, Inc is a chartered Sloop Club of the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, Inc., an environmental non-profit membership organization whose most visible symbols are its member operated sloops “Clearwater”.
