Event: Haunted Corn Maze
Venue: Nathan Hale Homestead – Coventry

Description: A moderately scary walk through the corn maze brimming with spooks in the dark, this annual event features a different maze every year. Last tour leaves at 9 p.m. Not recommended for small children. The corn maze minus the ghosts and ghouls will be available for tours mid-August to October 15 during regular hours.
Event: Beethoven’s Eroica
Venue: The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts – Hartford

Description: The Hartford Symphony Orchestra kicks off the 2017-2018 season with a captivating program featuring one of Beethoven’s most celebrated works, with two magnificent guest artists, Kojiro Umezaki (of the Silk Road Ensemble) and Masayo Ishigure. Beethoven’s “Eroica” is a journey of emotional extremes. This heroic and mighty symphony was originally dedicated to Napoleon Bonaparte, but when Napoleon declared himself an emperor, the composer was so enraged he changed the dedication.
Event: Wakefield River Fest
Venue: Main ST & the Saugatucket River Bridge (Downtown) – Wakefield
Date: October 7th
Description: Join your neighbors and meet new friends at the Wakefield Village Association’s annual Oktoberfest in downtown Wakefield. Set for noon to 11 p.m., the event will feature the URI Big Jazz Band, Take it to the Bridge and other live performers, Anna and Elsa from “Frozen,” an authentic beer garden, German food, local artisans, TropiGals dancers, Big Nazo puppets, mascots, The Great Baldini and hula hoopers. Also enjoy RiverFire along the Saugatucket River. A portion of Main Street will be closed to traffic. The event is free, but a $5 per person donation is greatly appreciated.
Event: 2017 Annual Woonsocket Autumnfest
Venue: World War II Memorial State Park – Woonsocket
Date: October 7th-9th
Description: Each year, Autumnfest presents live and local music and entertainment on the park stage, along with food court, amusement rides, consumer small business showcase, family fun events, gigantic fireworks display and more! And, on Columbus Day at 9:30 am, catch the huge Autumnfest parade marching along Social Street, featuring surprise guest bands and parade marshall.
Event: Campfire Stories and S’mores
Venue: Muscoot Farm – Katonah

Description: Halloween is right around the corner, so come to the farm and hear some spooky stories, and enjoy some s’mores. 7-8pm
Event: Volunteer Corps Work Day
Venue: Edith G. Read Wildlife Sanctuary – Rye

Description: Bring work gloves and help with invasive plant removal, trail maintenance, beach clean-up and more. 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
