Event: 41st Annual Save the Bay Swim
Venue: Newport navy Base

Description: Swim, kayak or volunteer for Save The Bay’s largest annual fundraiser as 500 swimmers and nearly 200 kayakers trek 1.7 nautical miles across the Bay. Raise money and awareness in an effort to protect and restore the Narragansett Bay region.
Event: Kingston Chamber Music Festival

Description: The Kingston Chamber Music Festival, now preparing for its 29th season in 2017, features many of the world’s established music stars playing alongside young, rising artists. Pianist Natalie Zhu, artistic director since 2009, succeeded violinist David Kim, who founded the festival in 1989. A two-week summer series of six reasonably-priced subscription concerts is held on the peaceful URI campus in Kingston, R.I., just a 10-minute drive from the ocean. The 580-seat, air-conditioned Fine Arts Center Concert Hall at URI is an inviting, open space. A seventh concert, an annual piano recital, is held in the nearby Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd.
Event: 2nd Annual Peekskill Film Festival

Description: We welcome you to the 2nd Annual Peekskill Film Festival, held from July 28-30, 2017! Founded in 2015, the Peekskill Film Festival (PFF) screens a first-rate mix of features, shorts, documentaries, animation, and more. As well as screening the best and brightest in indie film, the PFF hosts workshops with Emmy-Award winning artists and filmmakers, parties, panel discussions, and an entire day dedicated to student film and animation- all centered in the historic Hudson Valley Paramount Theater, a beautifully restored 1,100 seat, 1930’s jewel located in the heart of Peekskill’s arts and restaurant district.
