Description: Enjoy tons of food, live music, boats on view and the fireworks extravaganza on July 8 at 9 p.m. Sailfest is Southeastern Connecticut’s premiere summertime event attracting over 300,000 people over the three-day festival. Complete with a major fireworks display, amusement rides, free entertainment, Tall Ship, and over 100 vendors lining the downtown streets.

Description: One day festival celebrating different world cultures through music, food and the performing arts. Day-long event filled with an abundance of cultural experiences with more than 50 vendors offering a wide array of international cuisines, arts and crafts and community services. Children’s activities offered from 11 a.m.-4 p.m with family friendly attractions with fun interactive games, and exhibits.

Event: Entergy Screenings Under the Stars

Description: “The Secret Life of Pets” (PG, 2016) will kick off the Entergy Screenings Under the Stars free outdoor movies series at Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla, on Friday, July 7. The series will continue with “Sing” (PG, 2016) scheduled for Friday, August 18. Entertainment begins at 6 p.m. The movie begins at sundown. Moviegoers should bring blankets, folding chairs and a picnic. Refreshments will also be available for sale. In the event of rain, the movie will be canceled. Admission and parking FREE.
